I am sure you have heard of the Roomba by now. If not, you would probably know what it is by looking at it. The Roomba is a robotic vacuum cleaner that goes around your house by itself to clean up.
Well… now there is one for your windows. It is called the Winbot 7 (window robot). There were previous versions that used magnets on the opposite side of the window. However, the newest upgrade uses suction powers to stick the window and then moves around with suction rings and soft silicone treads.
The Winbot tells you if it has a strong enough suction on the window to work, it then explores the entire window to calculate the size and to plan out the most effective cleaning routine. It then zig-zags across the window pane cleaning off dirt and other particles with a pad that has cleaning solution on it. It then has a squeegee to remove the fluid from the window. It has a tethered power cable and also has a three-hour backup battery should it become disconnected from the power source (or your power goes out).
The product guarantees it will not scratch your window and will not bump into a window frame and damage it. Worried about sound? Running at 55 decibels, a typical conversation or your music won’t be drowned out.
It won’t be available until April and it will cost you about $400 or $500. But think about the time it will save you if you clean your windows often.
If you are high tech like we are, you might be interested in getting a Winbot. For any of your technology-related questions, give us a call. Contact Damewood Tech at 913-226-5403 today!
